The International Law Division, Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti held a Webinar with the theme “The Role of International Law in the Digital Era” on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, online.

The activity was opened with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, Dr. Dra. Siti Nurbaiti, S.H., M.H., who also gave remarks as a Keynote Speaker with the topic “International Law in the Digital Age”. The Chairperson of the International Law Division of the Faculty of Law, Trisakti University, Dr. Andrey Sujatmoko, S.H., M.H. also delivered a speech at the event.

The main discussion on how the role of International Law in the digital era was discussed by the speakers, respectively Prof. Dr. Mella Ismellina Farma Rahayu, S.H., M.H. Professor from Tarumanagara University who presented a paper entitled “Human and Environmental Morality in the Era of Globalization”; Mohammad Zaki Ahmad, Ph. D. from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia with a paper entitled “Application of Digital Tools in Combating IUU Fishing: Are International Fisheries Law and Policy Adequate in Empowering the Involvement of States and Non-State Actors?”, and Dr. Anto Ismu Budianto, S.H., M.H., from the Faculty of Law, Trisakti University with a paper entitled “The Development of ‘General Principles of law’ during the Industrial Revolution 4.0”.

Hosted by Dr. Arlina Permanasari as Moderator, the webinar was attended by approximately one hundred participants from various parts of the country, including academics, legal practitioners and observers of International Law, as well as students.
