The Opening of the Showroom / Business Incubator Store

In the event of 56th Dies Natalis of Universitas Trisakti, the Community Service Institute of Universitas Trisakti officially opens the Showroom / Business Incubator Store by the Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsyah Suryadi, DEA on Thursday, 18 November 2021 at the base floor of Building I, in front of BNI 46 bank, Campus A Universitas Trisakti.

Director of the Community Service Institute Dr. Astri Rinanti, MT in her speech said that since the Entrepreneurship curriculum existed, there are 100 to 300 start-ups/pilot businesses created by students every year, both offering products and services; however, they are not accommodated yet by a showroom. With the showroom of the Center of Business Incubator, we hoped that the students’ products will not only stop as mere study project results of Entrepreneurship class but will also be able to sustain as commercial products in the future.

So far, through the events of entrepreneurship at Universitas Trisakti, students continue to show good entrepreneurial spirit by creating new start-up businesses. There are at least 100 to 300 units of new start-ups as the outputs of the subject of entrepreneurship each year.

The existence of a showroom and store shows that the university fully supports entrepreneurship activities that are already established.

The Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA., said in his opening speech that so far, Universitas Trisakti has 300 start-ups, a business incubator, and has collaborated with international communities working in the same field. In addition, the active involvement of the students and the lecturers have indirectly characterized the entrepreneurial university atmosphere.

The Rector said that with the establishment of the Center of Business Incubator, Universitas Trisakti can create successful entrepreneurs in the future. 50 years have passed, and Universitas Trisakti continues to create many entrepreneurs through its alumni. It is hoped that with the establishment of the Center of Business Incubator, there will be more graduates who become entrepreneurs and support the nation’s economy in the future.

The execution of the Tridharma of Higher Education, which is oriented on the achievements of student pilot businesses or start-up businesses, needs to be accommodated through the Center of Entrepreneurship Management of the Center of Business Incubator, which is under the management of the Community Service Institute of Universitas Trisakti. Therefore, all products and services by the students’ pilot business are indeed accommodated by our side.

The Center of Business Incubator facilitates the showcase of products and services from pilot businesses by the students or the lecturers. Some examples of the products are coffee, weaving products of bags and wallets, ceramic products of glasses, leather bags, and various other entrepreneurship products. In addition, there are also law service and tax consulting; Halal certification consulting; Interior design, architecture, and landscape architecture consulting; Photography and Videography services for food products, etc.

The Director of the Community Service Institute very much appreciated the support of the chairs of Universitas Trisakti, so the Center of Business Incubator has a very premium location at the heart of Universitas Trisakti, close to the public facilities and the public space.

It is also hoped that the head of the faculties fully supports the students and the lecturers to continue spreading their wings in the entrepreneurship field.

The event was also attended by Dr. dr. Raditya Wratsangka, Sp.Obgyn(K), the chief of 56th Dies Natalis of Universitas Trisakti, the President of the Student Parliament, the Minister of Creative Economy of Kepresma, and the Head of the UKM Trisakti Marketing Club.
