The Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Universitas Trisakti held the Indonesia Seminar on Community Service and Social Responsibility 2021 I-Care 2021, which was held online on Wednesday, 19 August 2021.

The event was opened by the speech by the Director of the LPPM, Dr. Astri Rinanti Nugroho, MT, whereas the ceremonial opening of the National Seminar was delivered by the Rector of the Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA.

He stated in his speech that through this event, there are many things we can do to improve the rural areas, underdeveloped regions, and transmigration areas. In Indonesia, there are approximately 74 thousand villages, 15 of which are still developing that will require our help. Universitas Trisakti has already worked with several developing villages through the assistance of lecturers and is executed by the students to improve their economy. It is also hoped that in addition to improving the economy, there will arise entrepreneurs from the villages.

The keynote speakers of the national seminar were:
i) Ir. Harlina Sulistyorini, M.Si (Director General of the Economic Development and Investment of Underdeveloped Regions and Transmigration of the Ministry of Villages, Underdeveloped Regions and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia)
ii) Arya Dwi Paramita (Vice President of CSR and SMEPP of PT. Pertamina (Persero))

The organizer of the pioneering event of I-Care 2021 was led by Dr. Wegig Murwonugroho with the support of multiple faculties as members of the organizer.
