On Thursday, 16 May 2019, Universitas Trisakti’s Research Institute held an Inauguration of the Innovation and Incubation Management Center as a center of intellectual property rights at Universitas Trisakti. The event was held in the Meeting Room of Building M, 12th floor, Campus A Universitas Trisakti, Jakarta, and was also attended by the Director of Patents of the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.

The event was opened with remarks from Prof. Ir. Hj. Asri Nugrahanti, M.S., Ph.D., IPU as Vice Rector I, followed by remarks and inauguration by Dra. Sri Lastami., S.T., M.IP. as Head of Sub Directorate of Patent Application and Classification, and accompanied by Prof. Ir. Agus Budi Purnomo, M.Sc., Ph.D. as Director of Usakti Research Institute.

Attending the event was the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Drg. Tri Erri Astoeti, M.kes. and lecturers from various Faculties, within Universitas Trisakti.

The event continued with an explanation from Dra. Sri Lastami., S.T., M.IP. on the mechanism and flow of patent applications. She was accompanied by Dr. Rosyida Permata Sari, M.T., Ph.D., who is the Head of Innovation and Resource Center from Lemlit Usakti. The event was closed by a hand-over of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) certificate to Universitas Trisakti.

The inauguration of the Innovation and Incubation Management Center as an IPR Center of Universitas Trisakti can hopefully become a forum for lecturers, students and experts to create quality academic work and build a repository of intellectual property rights.
